Geriatric Fashion Disasters
Despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations do not go together:
A nose ring and bifocals
Spiked hair and bald spots
A pierced tongue and dentures
Miniskirts and support hose
Ankle bracelets and corn pads
Speedos and cellulite
A belly button ring and a gallbladder surgery scar
Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
Bikinis and liver spots
Short shorts and varicose veins
In-line skates and a walker

I must disagree: a tongue piercing may be the attachment to keep the dentures from falling out.
As for the open disco shirt and heart monitor, it's nuthin' more than stayin' alive, stayin' alive...
*ducking boos and throwd items*
But I would think the tongue stud might be a surefire way to crack a tooth in the denture.
Stayin' alive, stayin' alive...
:D
LOL @ in-line skates and a walker!
The fashion faux pas I see all the time especially amoung the elderly:
Black or dark socks with shorts and sandals
Plaid shorts and Hawaiian shirts
It doesn't look good to me, but is this considered okay?
High heels and low rider pants
Seen today: (and it was very cold today)
middle aged man in shorts with work boots wearing a hooded sweatshirt and gloves
Arghhh! The sight of socks (especially knee socks) with sandals and shorts makes me crazy. Why would anybody do that????? As for the low-riders and heels, apparently anything goes these days. I see guys in shorts and boots/gloves/hoodies, too, and always wonder what the heck they're thinking.:)
LOL!! Miniskirts and support hose...I can't picture it.
I can picture worn out hose knee socks puddled around the ankles, though. Trying to add that image with a miniskirt...nope, doesn't cut it.
Not a pretty picture, huh? LOL.:)
