The Sun Also Sets

Like my partner in verbal crime, Serena Joy, before me I need to take a break from this site. A number of factors have played into this decision, not the least of which is trying to keep up with multiple blogs.

The decline in readership was worth considering of course, but that can be attributed to the fact that is summertime, and people do have lives beyond their computers and the Internet.

I have been resorting to using a lot of "borrowed" material lately, as well as combing for reprints of archival material. There has not been much new under the sun.

Perhaps the chemist above can mix his chemicals and come up with formulae for fresh material for when Verbicidal Tendencies returns.

Sometimes you just have to take a break to keep mind and body together. Enjoy your sabbatical.

I tried to maintain a website and a blog together, and found I just couldn't do it: one got the attention, and the other got the reprints. Then I tried to maintain two blogs: same result. I find I work best as a one-blog blogger ;) Hats off to those who do multiples and make it woik!

Serena,

It's only been a few days so far, but I am enjoying the absence of pressure and a deadline.

Liquid,

VT will be back, maybe not on a daily basis, but it'll be back.

Meanwhile, I'm still actively posting at my regular digs.

Been missing you too.

Queenie,

I will definitely let you know when it starts up again.

As I said in the comment above, my other site is alive and well.

Skunk,

Yes, it is most difficult to maintain two sites or blogs. The best asset to be successful at it - is time. My time has been at a premium as of late.
